Title Operating System Implications for Confidential Computing Authors Jörg Rödel E-Mail jroedel@suse.com Affiliation SUSE Abstract Hardware extensions for Trusted Execution Environments (TEE) become more and more common in modern CPUs. To leverage their potential for Confidential Computing, operating systems and hypervisors need to be adapted. This talk will focus on virtualization-based hardware extensions and explain how they work to protect data-in-use. Based on that the necessary changes for operating systems and hypervisors to support hardware TEEs will be derived. Finally the talk will give an outlook to future virtualization stacks for Confidential Computing. Language of the Presentation English
